            The TAIL of the gecko

The gecko can escape predators by detaching their tail to  escape predators when the gecko runs the tail helps steer.

                 Comprehension

The gecko sometimes grows 2-3 tails if badly damaged.

2. Detachable to unfasten and separate; disengage; disunite.
3. Predator Zoology. any organism that exists by preying upon other organisms.
